My work with artificial intelligence and language technology sits at the intersection of applied linguistics, language education, academic writing, and instructional design. I am particularly interested in how generative AI and large language models (LLMs) use language, how their output can be studied using linguistic methods, and how AI tools can be integrated responsibly into teaching, learning, and professional practice.

My research explores emerging questions about AI-generated language and large language models, including the linguistic characteristics of AI-generated texts and comparisons between human and AI language.
